Prayer

Edifies Strengthens Revives

The Bible says (Matt 18:20) For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them. The Bible also commands that we pray for one another. In (James 5:16) it tells us to “confess your faults one to another, and pray for each other, that ye may be healed. Because the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

We are advised not to be anxious about anything and, is to come to the Father in prayers and thanksgiving (Phil 4: 6-7) says… “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God”. And the result of all of this is that “the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.

Throughout the Bible you will find prayers and prayer warriors, praying fervently for the Hand of God and His Acts to manifest by those He raised up to pray for His Kingdom and His people and by faithful witness that has heard from God through their Prayers. Never any time in the Scriptures do we see a prayer not being answered. The Palms is saturated with all kind of prayers.

All prayers are great and answers to Faith, but the greatest prayer is the Prayer uttered by the Son of God! This begotten Son; the very Truth of God and the Light of man, taught His disciples and thus us, how to pray to the Creator our Father, Jesus call Him “Abba Father” Our Father”. Jesus said . . . “I am the Way, everyone that comes to the Father must come through Him…He is the Door, and He only speak what He is commanded by the Father (John 12:49). Here is how to enter into the Holiest of Holy, “submission in prayers”. Enter your Closet. Get into your inner sanctuary where He could be found while there is still time; Worship Him, Honour and Commune with the Lord God your Father.

Jesus’s Admonition

“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. When thou pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking”.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

“Let us pray” the Prayer of Jesus (Matt 6: 9- 15)
After this manner therefore pray ye:
“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses”
